Supercar Performance
You can select one of three powertrains for the Corvette. The least intimidating version of the new Corvette, the Stingray, will get from zero to 60 mph in a neck-straining 2.9 seconds. Drivers who opt for the hybrid Corvette E-Ray will do the same in just 2.5 seconds.
For some statistical perspective, you can expect the gas-powered Stingray's 6.2-liter motor to peak at:
- 490 horsepower
- 465 pound-feet of torque
The 5.5-liter system in the Z06 hits:
- 670 horsepower
- 460 pound-feet of torque
Finally, the E-Ray's hybrid gas-electric setup achieves:
- 655 horsepower
- 595 pound-feet of torque
All three versions of the Corvette use an eight-speed automatic transmission with a manual sifter. Most versions are rear-wheel drives, but the E-Ray is an all-wheel drive. Magnetic ride controls are also available to help you customize the car's performance. All engines in the Corvette are situated mid-body.
Incomparable Appearance
The 80s retrofuturistic exterior of the Corvette is all about lines, angles, and deep coves. Its supercar design rides low to the ground, providing a true road-hugging experience. The Corvette is a two-door coupe with a removable roof option for open-air driving. With 14 exterior paint colors available, you can customize the new Corvette to your heart's delight.
Your options for the interior are even more robust at 21 colors. Premium leather upholstery is standard across the trim levels, too. Tightness is the name of the game because you need to stay in control. The Vette features a squared-off steering wheel with leather wrapping. Safety
Brembo ceramic brakes are available for all three versions but are standard on the E-Ray. The Corvette has systems to monitor forward collisions, blind spots, and lane-departure risks. You can also purchase the Corvette with an electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential for maximum control. There is a rear camera mirror, too.
Trim Levels
The idea of an entry-level Corvette might seem odd, but the Stingray 1LT comes in under $70,000 without any upgrades. It has all of the base features and includes 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch back wheels.
The Stingray 2LT adds:
- Heated and ventilated seats
- Power-folding mirrors
- A heads-up display
- A wireless device charger
- Data and video recording
- A 14-speaker audio system
The Stingray 3LT goes further with:
- Nappa leather upholstery
- A custom interior trim
- GT2 bucket-style seats
In terms of features, the E-Ray and Z06 offer 1LZ, 2LZ, and 3LZ trims that align mostly with the Stingray's 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT trims. The E-Ray includes an electric motor on each axle and a performance exhaust system. The Z06 includes a multi-mode exhaust system. Performance packages are also available for the Stingray, E-Ray, and Z06. These add cooling, exhaust, spoiler, differential, and gear ratio upgrades. Numerous appearance packages add graphics, wheel caps, interior trim elements, and accents.
